Two children walking along a WA street earlier this week were allegedly approached by a man and woman in a vehicle, who then tried to spark up a conversation with them before speeding away.

The 10-year-old and 11-year-old were walking along Cherry Well Rd near Downes St in Pink Lake, west of Esperance, about 3.30pm on Monday when they were approached.

A dark-coloured or black four-door vehicle stopped near the children, with a woman and man inside.

The woman then allegedly attempted to start a conversation with the children before the vehicle “sped off”, WA Police said.
