Kourtney Kardashian called out for ‘disrespectful’ Father’s Day post

‘Don’t forget the man who made you a mum.’

Kourtney Kardashian has faced a backlash from fans after failing to acknowledge her ex-partner on Father’s Day.

Kardashian and Scott Disick have three children together — Mason, 14, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 9.

But on Father’s Day in the US, Kardashian shared a post that only acknowledged her current partner, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.

“Happy Father’s Day @travisbarker !! Beyond grateful for the Dad that you are to our baby boy, and all of our kids,” she wrote.

“You keep us safe and protected and take care of us.

“Having a family with you is heaven. Happy to celebrate you!”

Kardashian shared a carousel of images of Barker with their son, Rocky, who was born to the couple in November 2023.

“Our life is heaven, I love you 🖤🙏🏼,” Barker wrote back.

But many of Kardashian’s fans were troubled by the fact that she had failed to mention Scott Disick, the father of her other three biological children (Kardashian is also stepmum to Landon, Alabama, and Atiana — Barker’s children from previous relationships.)

Others were bothered that four out of the five pictures focused on Barker with Rocky, and not her other children.

“I actually find this so disrespectful that you haven’t included your other kids with Scott,” one follower complained.

“He is the father of your 3 other children in case you had forgotten about him and them.”

“Don’t forget the man who made you a mum,” wrote another.

“The way she keeps forgetting she has other kids, she doesn’t even care about them anymore. She just cares about Rocky,” one follower said.

“Team Scott,” added another.

One follower called Kardashian “a piece of work” for only acknowledging Barker and their son together.

“Crazy how you separated your kids in the wording. What about Scott?” wrote one follower.

“Not Scott too? You do have other kids,” griped another.

But others couldn’t see what all the fuss was about.

“Because she posts about her newborn doesn’t mean she’s neglecting all the other children,” one fan said.

“She loves them all the same, so please stop with the false accusations.”

“Yes, (Scott) is the father of her children ... They are no longer together, there is no need to congratulate him,” wrote another.

“He doesn’t deserve a mention, having continually lied to here, cheated on her and disrespected her,” said a third.

The controversy is reminiscent of the furore over Prince William’s post for Father’s Day in the UK which, like the US, falls on June 16.

William shared a throwback picture of himself as a child with his father.

But some followers were angry that William hadn’t shared a picture of Charles with him and younger brother Harry.

“He has two sons,” one person wrote.

“This is disrespectful AF.”

“He has two children ... cruel to leave one out,” another said.

“I see why Harry left,” wrote a third.

“Poor Diana turning over in her grave watching how he is treating his brother like he doesn’t exist.

“Harry will ALWAYS be my FAVOURITE!!”

“Just wrote off his second son,” one follower commented.

“Proving his point that he was nothing but the spare.

“Sad.”

But, as with Kardashian, others leapt to Prince William’s defence.

“For those saying ‘he has two sons,’ are y’all OK?” one person wrote.

“This is WILLIAM’s page.

“If Harry wanted to, he could post his own.

“I don’t expect my siblings to post pictures of me to celebrate our parents!”

“The comments on this post are ridiculous,” another agreed.

“I’ve just shared a photo of my dad on Father’s Day, didn’t include my siblings, they can post their own if they wish to, just like Harry can if he so wishes!”

“Why are so many people asking about Harry?” wondered a third.

“It’s Father’s Day, not Brother’s Day!

“William doesn’t have to celebrate for both of them.”
